Paragraph of A MOONLIT NIGHT
A
moonlit night is a heavenly occasion for a beauty-seeker. It is impossible to
give a true pen-picture of the beauty of a moonlit night. In a moonlit night, nature
becomes a dreamland. The rays of the moon are silvery. It produces an unspeakable
magic spell on all objects, trees, buildings, fields and mountains. It changes
the colour of the landscape. Shelley, the great romantic poet, has described
the moon’s rays as “white fire”. The water of the rivers, canals, ponds and
tanks smile when the silvery light of the moon falls on them. The moon plays
hide and seek behind the clouds. Twinkling stars around the moon make the sky a
fairy land. People of all ages enjoy a moonlit night. Boys and girls make
merriment playing games in open fields. The young and old pass some hours by
gossiping and telling stories. The full moon makes the bird mad in joy. They
come out of their nests and sing melodious song. Beasts also run to and fro out
of joy. Poets and artists find themes of their work. A moonlit night takes one
from this prosaic world to the world of dreamland.
